Purists who revelled in the PlayStation 3 exclusive precursor\u00a0<i>Demon\u2019s Souls<\/i>\u00a0have said that despite enjoying the game, they felt that\u00a0<i>Dark Souls<\/i>\u00a0was an easier game.<\/p>\n<p>Now, this could just be a simple case of experience proving to be an asset in those gamer\u2019s skills.\u00a0<i>Dark Souls II<\/i>\u00a0tells us to \u201cGo Beyond Death\u201d, but does this sequel transcend all that came before it?<\/p>\n<p>There is a plot hidden in\u00a0<em>Dark Souls<\/em>\u00a0II, setting itself up with your character seeking to lift a curse set upon them. You\u2019ll meet several interesting fellows along the way, some mad from the years of torment, while others are more whimsical about the whole thing. Either way, it\u2019s an interesting world to try to explore when you can.<\/p>\n<p>You can immediately tell that more polish has gone into the environments this time around, while character models seem crisper and on occasion more grotesque.
