What is One Hit Pixel?
Short version: we review games and cover the gaming industry. Longer version: we’ve been doing this since the PS3/Xbox 360 era, and we have opinions about basically everything with a screen and a controller input.
Who runs this?
A small group of writers who grew up arguing about whether Final Fantasy VII or Ocarina of Time was the better game. (The answer depends on the day and how much coffee we’ve had.) We cover console games, PC titles, the occasional mobile thing nobody asked for, and yes — the online casino space, because that industry has genuinely interesting design and tech problems whether you gamble or not.
What kind of content do you publish?
Reviews, opinion pieces, and the occasional deep dive into whatever has caught our attention. We try to be honest about what works and what doesn’t. If a game is mid, we’ll say it’s mid. If a slot developer does something genuinely clever with their game mechanics, we’ll give credit where it’s due.
Do you accept pitches?
Sometimes. If you’ve got something interesting and it’s not a thinly veiled press release, reach out through our contact page. No promises, but we read everything.
Anything else?
We’re not affiliated with any game publisher, casino operator, or platform. The opinions here are ours — for better or worse. If you want the safe, corporate-approved take, there are about fifteen other sites for that. We’re here for the honest one.
