UK Charts: Halo 4 Is Number One But Fails To Surpass Predecessors

UK Charts ending September 10, 2012

Halo 4 is this week’s number one but fails to break the sales of previous iterations in the series. Managing to see more units than Assassin’s Creed III from last week – an impressive feat giving the exclusive platform nature of Halo 4 – and now ranks as the 18th biggest launch in the UK. However, it has failed to surpass that of Halo 3 or Halo: Reach which will be seen as a disappointment given the increased user base.

Last week’s number one, Assassin’s Creed III drops into second as FIFA 13 sits in third ahead of Need for Speed: Most Wanted in fourth. LittleBigPlanet is the only other new entry in the Top 40 this week debuting in 24th.
