Sony is currently rumoured to close to a deal with cloud-based gaming service Gaikai.
According to a GamesIndustry International source, the deal will allow Sony’s current home console to play PlayStation 2 and PlayStationOne games via streaming. Both first and third party games will be included in the service, which is likely to be announced at E3 next week.
Gaikai is already a well established streaming service with a portfolio of games that includes the likes of electronic Arts, Ubisoft and Capcom but none of the titles so far have been made available for any other platform than PC.
The deal would also likely see the streaming service come to other Sony devices, with Sony branded televisions and tablets heading the list.
