So, you’ve now played the Starhawk Beta and probably had about as much fun as everyone else did. It really did showcase just how much thought has been going into the spiritual successor to popular PlayStation 3 online shooter Warhawk. But don’t you want to tackle things with a buddy?
Sure you can go online and connect with a friend to do things like co-operative multiplayer or even head-to-head combat; but there’s nothing better than being able to gather your mates round for a few beers, grab a pizza, play some games and just generally whittle down the hours. Well the makers of Starhawk have heard your cries and have come up with these screenshots to show just how split screen should be done.
For those who played Warhawk, the 4-player split screen option is now gone; but in its place is the ability to log on into a game with a buddy on one log-in. It sounds so basic a functionality, but with the Halo series being the only other game I can think of that allows for guests to play alongside the online enabled account, it is about time another game gave couch gamers this level of accessibility. Starhawk is due later this year on PlayStation 3.
