We’ve seen Death live, Death rise and even Death brood, but have you seen Death get smacked around a forest by a mechanical demon?

THQ have released part one of a two part cinematic introduction to the storyline. Apparently the apocalypse has brought the entire world to hell. Angels are being slain by demons, and demons are subsequently slain by Death. Given the scale of the enemies he faces in this CGI trailer, we can expect great things.

In the meantime, there is a cliff-hanger to the trailer, so we should find out what happens soon. Alternatively though, Darksiders II has been scheduled for release for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC in June 2012, while the game was also confirmed for Wii U at a later date.
