After many rumours that the company is working on bringing the PS2 Insomniac classics to the PlayStation 3, Sony has officially announced the Ratchet & Clank HD Trilogy.
As expected, the HD Trilogy will include the first three titles – Ratchet & Clank, Ratchet & Clank: Locked & Loaded and Ratchet & Clank 3 – along with 1080p resolution, 720p 3D support, a solid 60fps and, for your trophy hunters out there, three Platinum trophies. Competitive multiplayer will also be returning in Ratchet & Clank 3.
But more importantly, the Ratchet & Clank HD Trilogy is due for release in just two months, launching on May 16.

Loving these HD collections, and particually looking forward to this one because I somehow managed to miss the first three Ratchet and Clank games when they originally came out.
