Cast your mind back to 2008 when the strange but oddly intriguing Linger In Shadows was released on the PlayStation network. It was a little… experimental to say the least.
Well, the Polish demo scene group Plastic Studios are back at it with a new PlayStation 3 title. In collaboration with God of War developer Sony Santa Monica Studio comes Datura.
The PlayStation Move supported title will bring “unique experimental narrative and original way of interaction”. Little else is know about the title, but players will begin in a forest, as you navigate by controlling their character’s hand.
Plastic’s Michal Staniszewski said that this allows you to experience the world “not only visually but also empirically: an illusion that you really touch trees, faces and other objects”.
Jan Kuczynski, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe producer, added ” [Datura] is not an easy one to categorise”.
“If you’re a fan of something ‘different’ and liked games such as Flower and Journey then I think you’ll like this one too. We don’t want to give away too much about the gameplay as it really is the type of game that you need to experience for yourself.”
Datura will be available exclusively on the PlayStation Network later this year.
