In a week that’s seen the country covered and gripped in the tight vice of a biting freeze, we’ve needed our consoles to pass the time in the cold – not least by providing some extra heat. So, grab a toasty beverage and wrap up warm as we take a swift look at the teams gaming week. Still yet to have an outright leader for the best entries for “The Less Said The Better”, will this week finally see either Dave, Liam or Phil pull out in front and become This Week’s Wizard of Words.
Ryan gets us underway this week:
“Take last week’s mixture then add a dash of Skyrim and you will have my week of gaming.”
Seemingly settling into a few weeks with Battlefield and Mass Effect 2, he’s probably opted to mix things up a tad given the massive RPGs recent patch release. Nevertheless, it’s straight to the point as usual. What about last week’s ‘Wizard’ Phil?
“No limerick this week, just a simple rhyme, It’s Final Fantasy XIII-2 that’s taking most of my time. Will have to finish it quick, time will disappear I’ll find, Because (hopefully) next week, a shiny Vita will be mine.”
Another fine effort from our resident Irishman this week, opting for a splendid rhyme as he ploughs on with his Final Fantasy XIII-2 review, which we hope to bring to you as soon as possible. Phil also touches upon the imminent arrival of Sony’s new handheld, the PlayStation Vita – which he managed to win via a Sony competition so feel free to be incredibly jealous of him. Harry also chose the rhyming route this week:
“This week has been all about gaming, FM 2012 cravings I’m taming, Split/Second’s no bore, UFC 3′s hardcore, EDGE has my indie game passion flaming.”
A very good entry from Harry this week, who has been racing about the explosive lands within the terrific Split/Second, as he takes on UFC 3 for our review – due on Tuesday. Igor, now on the mend, dropped by to say:
”Last week I was eagerly waiting to crack on with Metal Gear Solid HD: Collection, now I’m all over that bad boy. 3 brilliant games in one package, how can you possibly go wrong?”
I’m most excited to get to grips with a blast from the past, something I know Liam is knee-deep in at the moment as well. Finally this week, we have Dave:
“Unravelling the mysteries of the Queen Zenobia, while my PS3 situation was being resolved. All in all, a conclusive week.”
Now though, for the moment of truth. With no entry from Liam this week, will Dave or Phil become the top Wizard of Words on the block just four weeks in? Well, no. As this week’s winner is Harry for his splendid rhyming entry. This now puts four of the team on one point each – who will be the first to storm out in front? We’ll have to wait and see next week. For now though, I leave you with my entry:
“NeverDead was an utter waste of my time, Man City try to tempt Neymar away with quite a lot of dimes, whilst Triple Town is so addictive it must be a crime!”
