LittleBigPlanet Karting And More Leaked By Canadian Retailer

By David Howard, Editor-in-Chief and Founder

It’s always interesting when a games retailer attends and secret and undoubtedly confidential event and decide to be rather vocal with their tweets. Thus was the case by Canadian retailer Future Shop who, having attended a ‘Destination PlayStation Event’ leaked a major upcoming title from Sony, along with a few others.

Leaking ‘LittleBigPlanet Karting’, surely to Sony’s dismay, the game will be 3D capable and use a PlayStation Move steering wheel. Seemingly trying to muscle-in on the karting market share that Nintendo holds with the hugely popular Mario Kart franchise, it’s a title we very much welcome – although this surely spells the end for the ModNation franchise after the release of the PlayStation Vita version. Rumours suggest this is being developed by United Front, the team behind ModNation Racers, and will be a PlayStation 3 exclusive.

They also revealed a few, not so surprising, titles for EA including: Tiger Woods PGA 13 (which we already knew about), FIFA 13 and NHL 13 before saying that, “NHL 13 looks awesome but sworn to secrecy for a few weeks.” Good job on that guys.

Finally, they also leaked a new titles from Square Enix called “Sleeping Dogs”, which looks set to be the reincarnation of True Crime: Hong Kong – which the publisher bought from Activision last year. The title is set for a release this August on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
