Indie hit Minecraft will be heading to mobile devices. The Mojang developed game will be heading to Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Play first later this year before heading to Android and iOS devices. The Xperia Play version will be modified to make use of the PlayStation gamepad. The mobile version will take the same development model as the PC version of “release early and update frequently.” Mojang has said:
“When playing on smartphones you will have a different screen size compared to PC, different hardware, different attention spans and thus the game needs to be customized to fit the mobile specifications.”
No date or price was given for the title but expect more information to come at E3.
